Maternity and newborns are becoming one of my favorite subjects to photograph.  I think every woman should document her pregnancy.  It is so awe inspiring.  There is a little person growing inside of that belly!  That’s CRAZY!!!??? I can’t really wrap my head around it.

This shoot was a three day affair.  We took some maternity photos with the proud papa to be, some intimate photos of just the mom to be one week before giving birth and then, I came to the mother’s home and took photos of her and her two week old baby doing what they do together in the afternoon.  I’ll also mention that I did not photoshop out any stretch marks or anything of that nature.  I feel that a woman’s beauty, in these types of photos, is in the truth.  Lucky for this mother, there were no stretch marks to speak of!  And her little baby in utero made his first photo debut by poking his little foot out against his mammas belly!  There is a picture of it below!  Being invited in to someone’s home to share in this intimate experience is just, really really wonderful.
